Server-less On-Demand Print

The optional Server-less On-Demand Print feature of the DocuCentre-V C2265 provides an inexpensive, but powerful solution that enables print jobs to be sent sent and stored to the device until it is released by entering a PIN or swipe of a security card*. Other devices** on the network configured with the Server-less On-Demand Print option enables users to collect their print jobs from anywhere on the network further enhancing staff productivity, and providing redundancy if a device is busy with a large print run or out of action. The added benefit is that any print job uncollected at the end of the day is simply deleted from the hard drive, rather than the hard copy being deposited into the recycling bin.

Smart Energy Management

This feature reduces power consumption and CO2 emissions by supplying power only to the components that are being used. For example, during scanning activities no power is supplied to other parts of the device.

Reducing Power Consumption

With our clever product design, the cooling fan within the device is completely stopped when in standby mode. This decreases energy consumption and significantly reduces noise levels.

In sleep mode the device consumes less than 1.0 W of power, in comparison to when working at its optimal level the DocuCentre-V C2265 uses 1.92 kW of power.

EA-Eco toner achieves its minimum fusing temperature at 20℃ lower than conventional toner, resulting in reduced energy consumption in heating of the fusing unit.

The DocuCentre-V C2265 utilises newly developed biomass plastics that use polylactate acid that is obtained by fermenting starch that itself is derived from food-source corn. Compared to standard materials such as ABS, which are commonly used in printer manufacture, CO2 is reduced by 30% over its life cycle, reducing the impact on climate change and dwindling petroleum resources.

Waste-free Fax

Incoming fax documents are immediately stored on the device’s hard disk drive, in its own folder, and are only printed when users select to do so. This reduces unnecessary print jobs, and decreases paper and toner wastage.

Administrators can also block incoming faxes from particular contacts or anonymous numbers. Take it to another level with the optional SiP fax kit, enabling fax transmissions via a VOIP server.

Also with Direct Fax users can send faxes directly from their PC’s. Sent Fax documents also have the option to be saved as a PDF and sent as an e-mail attachment.
